It is beginning to become more difficult to find superlatives to describe the North Mahaska girl’s basketball team. The thirdranked team in Class 1A continues to dominate their opponents.

There was no difference Thursday when the Warhawks rolled past a Keota 59-13.

“They are a very good team,” said Keota coach Jeff Sprouse. “It’s great to watch a team get up and down the floor unless you are facing them. We have to take better care of the basketball.”

What makes the North Mahaska team so powerful is its ability to convert in transition. The Warhawks had 19 steals and 12 assists against 10 turnovers. Four of those came late in the game when the junior varisty players were in the game.
