Former Penn Wrestler Eveland Leaves CEW

Exhausted from competing in what would be his final match with Central Empire Wrestling on Saturday, April 6, Tony Eveland, better known as The Storm to CEW fans, sat in the ring and addressed the crowd.

To the dismay of the fans, Eveland proclaimed that he was a man of his word, and since he couldn’t defeat Shawn Nautilus for the CEW Championship, he would be walking away from the company he started wrestling for almost a decade ago.

A 2008 graduate of William Penn University, it was during his time at the college that he met the man that would set him on the path for his career in pro wrestling. That man was CEW creator Austin Bayliss, and the two immediately hit it off in a friendship that would blossom into a successful business partnership.

“Pro wrestling isn’t something that I ever thought I could or would ever do, plus I didn’t know how to go about it even if I wanted to,” Eveland said. “To be honest, Austin Bayliss is the biggest reason that I am in professional wrestling.”
